Wood biomass power plants

Burkhardt system

Wood biomass power plants

Biomass is the organic matter of biological (mainly plant) origin, which can be exploited as an energy source, for example:

  • wood as the most widespread source for heat generation,
  • reeds and straw,
  • a fast-growing, high-energy crops (oilseed rape, sugar cane, maize)
  • organic wastes (livestock and municipal waste, sewage water)..

Tehnology

The reducer company Burkhardt takes place autothermal gasification of wood pellets, which means that the process does not require an external heat source. The thermal energy required for the process of pyrolysis and gasification is generated by oxidation and partial combustion of fuel. The advantage of the process Burkhardt system lies in the constant production and high purity of the synthetic gas.
